August 2026 Web Server Survey
In the August 2026 survey we received responses from 1,440,631,474 sites across 311,859,561 domains and 15,255,006 web-facing computers. This reflects a loss of 54.3 million sites, and an increase of 6.5 million domains, and 482,958 web-facing computers.
Cloudflare experienced the largest gain of 11.2 million sites (+4.51%) this month, and now accounts for 18.1% (+1.41pp) of sites seen by Netcraft. OpenResty made the next largest gain of 7.0 million sites (+5.84%).
nginx experienced the largest loss of 91.6 million sites (-30.08%) this month, reducing its market share to 14.8% (-5.59pp). Apache suffered the next largest loss, down by 713,171 sites (-0.41%).
