Marsh said the new system would be online “in 2Q 2005,” meaning sometime between now and June 30. The date is of interest to EV1Servers’ customers, as the company’s online domain management system has been offline since March 16 offline. EV1Servers staffers are processing domain renewals manually while the new system is readied for the changeover.

The ICANN accreditation “is part of our ongoing effort to support our customers’ businesses,” says Marsh, who in March underwent emergency surgery to bypass several blocked arteries and insert an artifical heart valve. The surgery was a success, and Marsh was out of the hospital within a week.

“My recovery and rehabilitation will not be a short or easy one,” Marsh said in a posting last month on the EV1Servers’ customer forums. “However, the management team at EV1 has stepped up to fill my shoes in my absence. My doctors have mandated certain changes in my lifestyle, particularly during my recovery, so I regret that I’ll not be regularly following these forums as I have in the past. However, the EV1 team has always been active here and they will continue to be.”
