On the pricing front, Crystal Tech joined the list of providers offering domains at under $10 per annum, with an offer of two-year registrations for $17 ($8.50 per year) through a reseller arrangement with Melbourne IT.

Meanwhile, ICANN announced that it will review 10 proposals for new sponsored top-level domains, including dueling proposals for .tel from Pulver.com and Telname Ltd. The applications were submitted in response to a request for proposals ICANN issued back on Dec. 15. A public comment period will end April 30.
